Anne Ovens BEng (Hons) ACGI FCCA DipIFR MIoDDirector
Anne is an IFRS consultant and FCCA qualified accountant with extensive experience in business process improvement, project management, IFRS transition & implementation projects, technical accounting consultancy, international expansion and IPO support.
She has managed and implemented complex, multinational projects and worked with clients spanning a range of industry sectors including technology, bio-technology, retail, hospitality, financial services, and the natural resources & energy sectors.
Anne was previously a trustee (& Chair of Commercial Services) for Break Charity for 9 years until 2023, and is a member of the Institute of Directors, where she has been involved in university student mentoring in recent years.
Before specialising in accountancy, Anne graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College, London.
After being short-listed in 2 categories, Anne won a Role Model of Year award in the Women in Accountancy and Finance Awards 2020.
Louise Gibbs BA (Hons) ACMA FCMAFinancial Control Consultant
Louise Gibbs is a Chartered Management Accountant who manages Aspiration Europe’s insourced / outsourced finance function, as well as providing specialist advice for our clients’ accounting projects.
Louise has wide ranging experience across a variety of industry sectors, including Business Management, Risk Management & Control, Process Excellence, Financial Planning & Management Reporting, to name just a few. Her focus is to implement effective and efficient processes within all projects delivered and businesses supported.
Louise holds a degree in Business Studies from Bournemouth University.

Helen Lloyd BA (Oxon) BSC ACAIFRS Associate
Helen is a financial reporting specialist with extensive experience applying IFRS and UK GAAP across a wide industry base.
After gaining her ACA qualification with Deloitte and subsequently working in their technical department, Helen then worked in BDO’s technical department for four years, performing accounts reviews, answering financial reporting queries, and writing and delivering internal and external training courses. Her industry specialisms at BDO were in the natural resources, TMT and retail sectors.
Helen spent a year on secondment from BDO to the Financial Reporting Council, as a key member of the team which produced the first published draft of the new financial reporting standard for the UK.
Helen’s work portfolio since leaving BDO in 2012 includes a range of consulting work as a technical accountant, writer and editor including for ICAEW and the IFRS Foundation as well as IFRS & UK GAAP consulting work for Aspiration Europe.
As well as her ACA qualification, Helen holds a BA (Hons) in Mathematics and Philosophy from Oxford University, and a BSc (Hons) in Social Sciences with Sociology and Economics from the Open University.

Helen is a senior finance professional with a strong track record in financial leadership, GAAP change, financial process change management, control frameworks (including SOX), M&A, debt finance, statutory and Group reporting (IFRS, FRS, US GAAP, SECR, etc.), and project delivery in complex businesses (financial services, technology, manufacturing, support services, retail and the public sector).
She has reported to FTSE100 Board level, with successful outcomes achieved through commercial acumen, creative insight and bringing disparate teams together.
Helen is FCCA qualified, holds an MBA and a BA(Hons) degree.

Julia Thomas BSc (Hons)Assistant Management Accountant
Julia is currently studying for the CIMA qualification and most recently worked in finance in the education sector prior to joining Aspiration Europe in 2021.
Julia’s focus is on best-practice accounting processes for month end accounts, monitoring budgets, forecasting, & other management reporting activities.
Her prior experience also includes performance statistics / management information analysis and business processes for the public sector.
Julia has a BSc (Hons) in Business IT from Bournemouth University, is part qualified AAT, and has an advanced QuickBooks certification.

Victoria BealEuropean Processing Specialist
Victoria is Aspiration Europe`s multilingual European processing specialist with experience working in shared service centres and companies within the EU across a range of industry sectors.
These range from start-ups to established medium-large companies in a group structure. She can create direction to your office policies with procedures tailor-made to your business needs.
Victoria is currently studying with BPP for her Foundation in Accountancy qualifications with ACCA.

Merritt Gray BSc, MScExecutive Assistant
Merritt trained as a dancer at Stephens College in Columbia Missouri, where she also studied Business Management. Merritt then worked in the arts sector on and off for 15 years doing just about everything from box office management and budget management to stage and technical management.
In between working in the arts, Merritt has worked in education in various administrative roles including working with VPs of Universities in the United States as well as working as an Exams Officer here in the UK.
Merritt’s role at Aspiration Europe includes providing bookkeeping support with the outsourced finance function team as well as marketing and administration responsibilities.
Merritt has served on the Board of Governors for various schools and on the Board of Directors for the Chamber Orchestra Ogden.
Merritt also holds a Master’s degree in Sports Management.

Sue Ghosh
Sue is an AAT qualified finance and accounts professional with accounting experience in private, public and the 3rd sector. She provides AE with strong business administration and analytical skills along with extensive experience in day to day administration of accounting policies & procedures and in preparing and analysing Final Accounts.
She has led initiatives to set up computerised accounting systems, which are skills valuable to our clients as many are looking to refine and optimise their accounting processes. She also is a Treasurer and Finance Officer of UK registered Charity.
